It draws fisherman from all over the US and Canada during the spring and salmon runs. Wellston is located is the Heart of the Manistee National Forest and offers year around activities. Our cabin is located very close to groomed snowmobile trails that can take you on day all adventures. There are hundreds of acres of National Forests to explore, hike and hunt. Morel Mushrooms are plentiful in the spring and are a blast to find. Wellston is mere miles from the Dublin General Store which offers over 60 varieties of jerky. You will find Beef Jerky, Turkey Jerky, Chicken Jerky, Pork Jerky, Buffalo Jerky, Venison Jerky, Elk Jerky, Alligator Jerky, Kangaroo Jerky, Wild Boar Jerky, Rabbit Jerky, Pheasant Jerky, Duck Jerky, Ostrich Jerky, Antelope Jerky, and even Python Jerky during certain times of the year! Dublin General Store is a one stop shop. You will find some of the best cuts of fresh meats and all types of hardware items as well. For ski and snowboard enthusiasts Caberfae Peaks is about 12 miles away. They offer amazing slopes and great dining. If you’re looking for a night out the Little River Casino is only 20 minutes away. The Little River offers big name entertainment and several options for dining. The Pine River runs through Wellston and is very popular for canoeing and kayaking.
